    Interesting coin Pam, I don't see many of these coins was there some kind of embargo during the cold war?

    Looks like I see more of the 1936. There is no record of minted.

    lol! USSR did have major issues in 1935. Professor Pam will search lol! It looks rare!! The 35. Thanks!

    There were 51 million made of the 1935 and 52 million of 1936 so they're about the same. It lists for a few dollars in the catalog. These coins are always popular though.

    I don't believe we ever had an embargo against the Soviet Union, at least not one that lasted very long like the one against Cuba. That doesn't mean there was a lot of travel between the two countries though.
