    The bluish discoloration makes me suspect something is amiss, such as a botched cleaning attempt.

    Let me summon @Brett_in_Sacto for a Peace specialist's viewpoint.

    That coin has been polished. Good thing it is a common date and had very little numismatic value to start with.

    Unless my eyes are way off, I'm seeing a 1928 Peace, which is far from a common date. Unfortunately its value has been severely compromised.

    That coin is better, doesn't look cleaned or polished, but still a rather meager grade, I give it MS62.

    Back to the first one. The second set of pictures reveals it to be a 1923. So much for my alleged eyesight.:wacky:
