2008 gold magnetic penny?

I have a 2008 gold looking penny that sticks to a magnetic, does anyone have any info on this coin. I searched but can't seem to find anything on it.

Welcome to CT. A picture would be good. Good bet is that it has been plated by someone.

 

Probably gold plated over a nickel base plating. How strongly magnetic is it? does it "jump" to the magnet?

 

It's a good size magnet. If i place the magnet just over top the penny it will jump up to it yes.
