Cindy, isn't that is what is played in winter? I know that baseball & softball are extremely popular up there in Canada. It is a pity that cricket isn't yet popular, but things may change. Aidan.
Krause corrected this in 1983 catalog I believe and started mentioning these 1969 dated coins as commomorative coins. But of course they are wrong and you know better. So carry on giving new collectors the wrong terninology for a coin.
Steve, why are you telling me that I am the first person to use the term 'medal-coin',when it has been proven not to be the case? Let's focus on talking about medal-coins commemorating baseball & softball. Aidan.
I never said that and you know it Aidan stop trying to avoid the issue, you are going out of your way to confuse new collectors with a term that is not used by any one now other than yourself but you cant admit it, is this term used in the coin world today? No has it been used in the last 20 odd years? No was it used by anyone prior to it appearing in one book and a brief period in Krause? No it has as much relavence to the hobby as the Jabberwocky does & that appears in a Poem, Book, Screenplay, Film, Comerdy Sketch & Song.
Medal-coin was used by a Quebecer to describe a NCLT coin, Aidan, obviously you don't quite get how French-Canadians speak. Its mostly French, some English mixed in, a few invented terms, some slang, and a different way to pronounce things, mix it all up, change some grammer rules here and there, and you get the Quebec version of French. I find it odd you'd quote a French guy anyways, it's not proper English, anyway you look at it.
Dopeuser,Jerome Remick was an American who spent most of his life living in Quebec.I know what Quebecois is. Aidan.
