Last I saw on the CDN (2 1/2 months ago), the bid for those was $13. It may be higher now, as I see circulated rolls of them going for more than that on eBay.
Do you get any 2009-P North Mariana Islands ones? Those seem to be the hardest pull from what I can tell.
You should've looked into and/or pressed them, if at all possible, to get more as LOTS of money was made that year by those with access to rolls/boxes of all circulating denominations. I personally know of one fellow who made more that one year, due simply to the aforementioned, than he would've in near 20 years working his day job. That said, hindsight is, of course 20/20, but it was a fine score nonetheless.
Not that it is of any real help to the OP, but somewhere there is a map showing the distribution areas served by each mint, and as I understand it (take as you will as it's not firsthand experience) said map is fairly accurate in telling what one should expect to find (P/D) even from coins past. That said, I was able to get my hands on boxes of LP2-P back in 09, and in some cases traded away for/towards the other issues. Broken or damaged boxes were mostly either pieced out and/or liquidated in mixed lots, but some "fruitful" boxes were kept/cracked due the varieties contained. Point is that somewhere here I'm sure there's still lose LP4-Ps direct from the rolls that are of no use to me. If the OP would like some to fill out his rolls, he's welcome to them.
If I knew then what I knew now... But I was like 14 at the time and was only looking for hole filler coins. Luckily, I kept those rolls of nickels as they looked shiny and uncirc to me an I figured it would be best to keep intact. Good thing I did too!
Ya @John77 , I hold on to all 09 nickels and dimes, most of the 09 nickels seem to be AU at best though, most are vf/xf
Almost every 09-P nickel I've found would grade XF, while most of my 09-D nickels would grade AU. Finding a BU 09-D dime is not nearly as tough as finding a BU 09 nickel, even though they're scarce out here.
When I was into Coin Roll Hunting about two years ago I had like 5 rolls of the 2009-P. All uncirculated too. I recall trying to see if anybody wanted them but I ended up returning them to the bank.
I always imagine someone finding one a hundred years from now and going ballistic over finding a key date Jefferson.. They'll probably be talking about the good old days when coins were made of medal, not plastic
