Hey, you're back! Sure missed ya! Hope all is well with you and your family. This is a nice coin with problems caused by the Mint. I can't think of what the error is but someone will chime in with the correct information. I'm tired and my eyes are shot from 11 hours at the PC. The 1st photo looks like it has extra metal and the 3rd photo looks like it's missing a piece from a die crack. Have a good evening.
Thank you. I think it may be an interior die break. The 3rd photo is just bad lighting. I am glad to be back. I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. I miss you guys too! I can always look forward to a smile here. My family is doing good.
I think you are onto something with the interior die break. Looks like the F was displaced in the process. Nice find!
Thanks! I'm trying to find something good and interesting. So far, not much luck. I am just getting started again though. I am on and off with searching these days. I will eventually come by something good though.
Hi @Sheila Ruley ! Nice die break! It's sort of like a small river (die crack) with a torrent of water from flooding. As the onrush of water reaches the "bend in the river" the walls collapse into the river, widening it. Chris
No. My kids are only 5 and 1. My husband is not interested and he also works 7 days a week. He is huge into sports though. Mostly football. My husband is happy that I have finally found something that I really like doing though. He knows it gives me a break from the kids and life's stresses. He is very supportive too.
The 3rd photo is bad lighting but it is raised. It kind of looks like the bee hive die break in what you see in the columns of some of the coins. I never thought of a lamination peel. Interesting. Thanks.
