Hard to find D mint marks in Pennsylvania. After I read this post I went to the bank and got ten rolls. I asked her for bank wrapped, eight of them were bank wrapped, two were customer wrapped. There were some new ones with the new designs, but none were 2015-D. I'll try another bank tomorrow.

@pennsteve I'm in St. Louis and coins here are predominantly Denver mint. I've searched at least $700 worth of nickels since January 2016 and only found 1 even though I'm specifically looking for it. (I've found 2 total but the first one was November/December 2015.

Has anyone else found a 2015-D Nickel with this severe die rotation? I've been holding my breath the last several months and waiting for the FLOOD of people finding them.....hoping it's somewhat rare. I would think people would be reporting them by now & especially since I found TWO of them. Those aren't good odds, my finding two, that probably means there are MILLIONS of them out there.

There's one just like it on Ebay right now, Item #282170572194, in a PCGS MS64 slab. It didn't sell in July at $250.

I've seen one sell on eBay for about $125.00 back in February or March.

Chris, I eyeballed this thing closely. The obverse appears to be oriented so the flip is good. The top of the dome points through the U and B of Pluribus on to just below that low end of the right hand staple. The corner is 135, half of 45 is 22.5 for 112.5 and still looks a bit shy of that mark. 110 degrees is an excellent measurement for this rotation.

    Great find, Jeff!

I will begin searching for these tomorrow. Thanks. I will add that I have found only one 2009 Jefferson out of many rolls searched - they must be being hoarded.

Cheech, from 12 noon o'clock on the reverse, 70 in "the other" direction (counter-clockwise) would be 290. There are 360 degrees in a circle. 12 noon would be 0/360. 180 would be the bottom, the spot at the rim between the "E" and the "S" of "STATES". 360 minus 70 = 290.

The OP's coin has a clockwise rotation.

btw, I checked the 42 '15-D's that I own this afternoon, barring minor rotation deviations, no joy. I then checked the rest of my entire nickel collection back to 1940. Did not find a single one.
