I was in DC this weekend and got these photos from outside the BEP. At the refreshment stand down the street I got these 3 new and crisp consecutive notes as change. The folds are from my wallet since I didn't take the photo until I got back to my hotel. Thought it was funny that the stand is most probably getting fresh straps from down the street.

Well I'm glad that building was toned down so as not to spend so much of us working peoples tax dollars!!

Very nice notes. Put them in a book and flatten them out since they are not creased. How was the trip to DC?

Cool consecutive notes, but I doubt the street vendor got them straight from the BEP. It's not known for giving out free samples. :p

More seriously, these serial numbers were printed in June 2015. They've had plenty of time to make their way through the Federal Reserve and the banking system by now. Apparently they spent quite a few months waiting in a cash vault somewhere before the street vendor got them from a bank....

It was a nice trip. I really enjoyed DC. The day after I started this thread I actually went back and did the tour. I also drove up to Philadelphia and toured the Mint there as well. Below are the threads for each...

I haven't done the BEP but the Mint I've enjoyed several times. Glad you had a nice trip. Love the photos. :)
