You must mean: 1897-O - and although normally a scarce date - in AG - save your money. Anyone who'll buy it will want it raw for their album.
I have consigned 43 coins to Heritage - about a dozen for the ANA Anaheim sale - the rest will be sold on their Internet Only Sales [ 8/28 & 8/30 ] - and a few of these coins are 1907-S Quarters - { 3 were consigned } VF 25, XF 45 and UNC Details - however, in an effort to finish up my primary set, I located a nice AU 53 which is actually for the Everyman set { I have a MS 65 in my better set } All the coins are PCGS Graded. I think this is a pretty decent coin - but, still looking for an AU 58 .... The BST at PCGS has a thread I created showing 90% of the images - check them out when you have a minute. Thanks. Mike
Its been a few weeks since I posted - I found this upgrade to my Dime set... 1896-S PCGS 58....its off to CAC in mid August.... My XF 40 example was bought by the seller of the AU 58. It certainly helped.
Been a few weeks since I've posted ... Newps from ANAHEIM: { Heritage Auction } { Stacks' Bowers Auction } I need to go into the bank vault soon and pull out the under graded coins I plan on selling. I think I've done enough damage for the month.
Let me ask you a personal question. Where do you find these dynamite-looking Barbers? You seem to have a never-ending supply!
SatinDollar.... It's no secret... I find them at public auctions. The last group was from Stacks Bowers. Most others came from Heritage, a few from Great Collections or eBay...or from dealers' web sites. I'm concentrating on Dimes at the moment.... I'm working on three sets: Proof, MS and AU 58.
