Who says you can’t make your own denarius?

    Agreed. The only info I could get other than what is on the envelope is that it probably had roots in Canada as it was with a large Canadian collection. There is a company called “Coins IV Hire” in Winnipeg that does military miniatures and the like. It seems plausible that they would be connected somehow.

    Strange that the label would describe the image on the reverse as a "rectangular box" when it is clearly a scutum.

    I like how it got flow lines and flan splits just like a real denarius!
