physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

This thread is inspired by the illustrious V. Kurt Bellman.

Post a coin, and describe it using poetry. Be creative. Put the most excessive Heritage catalog descriptions to shame!

    lustrous rainbow hue,
    Lincoln in many-coloured coat,
    copper entombed

To get this dear coin of late

One must be fast and hard 'out the gate'

With surfaces and devices most lustrous

It requires not statements most blusterous

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

Welp, I started it, so here goes:

"Whispers of vermillion and periwinkle gently osculate the peripheries of the gentle rainbows exciting the senses while gazing upon this magnificent survivor of the dying days of the Great Depression. Magentas and cobalts dance with glee on the reverse of this magnificent manifestation of Brenner's vision. Only the slightest of incisions upon Lincoln's manly cheek and a rim bruise at the left extreme mar this otherwise desirable addition to any Lincoln specialist's collection."

    That's for PF-pi's coin.

So whaddya think, Heritage? I am available to come to Dallas for an interview.

    green18's coin:

The once was a coin shown by green,
With the cleanest surfaces I seen.
    But while it may slab,
    He's still being a crab,
'Cuz it probably won't be gold bean.

By the way, I've now decided what the acronym PGCS will stand for - Poets Generating Coin Sonnets.

There was once a coin minted in Manchester
Whose devices were frosty and full
    Of luster
    Let me intervene
    It's never been cleaned
    I used MS 70
    And now I have
    Ruined my coin heavily

And here I thought I had a shot at a Dougie "like", or at minimum a Dougie bean. Shows what I know.

I may break down in tears of appreciation for the pathos expressed.

to fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
and Jill said, "Why the hell did you do that?"
    "I have plenty of change."

By the way, I'm going to search my Japanese coins tonight for one that might inspire a haiku. No sense in gratuitously mixing cultures.

    Violets are not.

There was an ol' lady from Houston
She had two hens and a rooster
Her rooster died, ol' lady cried
Now I got to spend my Peace Dollar

There once was a forum called "errors", but the coins there were a bore.
Machine doubling, environmental damage, and vice jobs galore.
Why did I click that link?
My morale is starting to sink.
Why didn't I just hit ignore?

Bringing up the burning question, "Is there also a Billings Club in Reno?"
