Yes, the 1922, and 1922 D are known for die cracks in the neck area. It's nothing real uncommon.

I hoped to post my newest acquisition this morning, but my high bid got sniped during the live auction last night at Heritage.

This is what I was going for:

I'm very happy with the two I just got. The 1854 is cleaned but the price was right I love it. The 1972 DDO is more of an investment but I really really like it, 66RB cac 1854 O bought ha small $165.jpg 1972 DDO ha bought small $675.jpg

I thought I really found something on the left side of the picture but it's just machine doubling. I bought the one on the right yesterday. The doubling one I found in a jar at grandpop's. 1917 DDO over3.png

Well you know how some days the coin God's dump on ya? And then there's days like today... two neat items from my LCS .

First after talking a bit and looking around the dealers case I spotted this 1972 Lincoln cent .Some nice tones to it Greens, Purple , and a soft red. I asked to see it. After looking at it I decided to ask how much? I'm not into cents or pennies but the color as well as the MAD kind of turned me on to asking a price. Oh he said I know you like tonned coins, as well as varieties take it ...it's yours!
Being very thankful I brought it home to find it's an DDO. Not a major one but still nice since it has a nice die crack , MAD, and the color it's a win win for me today :) ...But wait there's more..... 1972 Date ddo.jpg 1972 ddo we.jpg 1972 IGWT ddo.jpg 1972 Liberty ddo.jpg 1972 toned rev. DDO 1.jpg 1972 Toned Obv..jpg

Just saw this, sorry. It's a Norfolk Comemmorative half dollar. Mintage of 10,000 and worth about $400 or so.
