At least it impressed me. Received 2 today, from 2 different people. Cardboard cut to fit into an envelope; on one side of the cardboard, cut out a space for the coin; insert coin and tape a piece of paper or cadboard over it; fold cardboard into letter sized paper; place into envelope, voila! Obviously, not to be done with slabbed or expensive coins. Cheap, easy, secure way to ship coins.
I always appreciate it when a little effort and or imagination is put into delivering coin purchases safely. I hate paying $2.95 for someone to stick a 2x2 in an envelope. I like the self sealing cardboard like product that some use.
I have shipped virtually every single coin I've ever sold sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, taped to one so it doesn't slip and sized to the container it'll ship in. You can't tell what's inside by feeling the shape, it'll go thru a machine counter without damage, and it survives ill handling and corner hits easily.
They make corrugated sheets with adhesive already applied - you fold over and cut to fit. It makes a very strong, very secure package.
I've received those in that past. They're cool, but this method is FREE, lol. More money for the coins
I prefer these, too! They can be used for coins in 2x2's, flips and even slabs. http://www.jpscorner.com/shipping-supplies.html If people prefer to go the cheap route, it's fine with me. Sooner or later, it will probably end up with, "You get what you pay for!" Chris
The cardboard sandwich protection is always good. And then you can print on the outside of envelope : "Do not bend, photos inside"
