Anyone pick up this ?? I think the US Mint needs to get off on putting limit on anything they put out. If buyer miss out, then that is too bad.

Give it time fellas. You will be able to pick up a MS70 for at or near (or under!) issue price in time.

Jump out on eBay where sellers have posted 345 of these.

And there are actually dumbbells bidding on them.

Lower price points or a ms 70 for issue price can make them more attractive to people. I can see how someone wouldn't want to pay the prices now but if they saw a 70 for not much more or the same price would become interested

Yeah, do like the Mint did with the SAE's in the Green Monster box. If you don't sell at least one million ounces of gold per year, then you can't buy them.

Plan on getting one of these. I have the gold merc. already. I want to get all three types. But I'm waiting for awhile on the last 2, to see where the prices level out at...and will buy MS 70's. May be a good gamble ,if they melt down all the returns ect.,which will make them rarer. What do you think they will do with all the returned or unsold coins in this bullion series? will they melt them or resell them?

That wouldn't be right for everyone that actually has to work for a living now would it ? If there was no limit, all the rich guys would buy them up within the first half hour, even the Ebay flippers would miss out because it would be ALL backdoor transitions to APMEX and other TV guru's... How would you feel having to pay APMEX $1500.00 for one of these ?
They have to put some type of reasonable limit on the mintage and household limit (based on mintage) for it to work properly... The 2015 high relief was handled well, lasted about a month... The mercury was handled bad...
It isn't rocket science.... But, everyone deserves a chance to get one... Just my opinion...

I suspect there's a LOT of shill bidding.

And shill buying -- misleading the naive to believe these raw coins are worth $600+.

Right now, they're still available direct from the Mint for $485.

As mentioned the big sellers are still getting what they want. Once they are happy with their numbers it should low and see prices start to come down. Plus some people just hate ordering from the mint anyway

It's bizarre. Spending up to 700 bucks, when they are available for hundreds cheaper. Color me confused.

Would never happen. They can only sell them for what people are willing to pay. If they ordered everyone that also puts everyone on the market at the same time and prices would drop fast as they want to move them and not just sit on them forever
