I guess I'm one of the lucky ones! I tried to get onto the Mint's website to order today and had problems getting on. I called them on the phone, just got beeping, redialed their number until I finally got hold of an operator only to find that she was having trouble with their computer system too. After spending half an hour on the phone with her she was able to get my order placed and give me a conf. #. YES!! According to the operator I placed my order with the Mint is just nuts today and they are experiencing even more demand for this coin than the dime. Anybody else here order today?

I forgot that it went on sale today. I got an email that reminded me about it so I got my order in a little over an hour after it went on sale. No problem with the Mint website. Very fast and got my order in.

One of the lucky ones? They are making 100,000 of them, and they will not be a fast sell out. I was able to pick up as many as I could afford today for a quick flip.

Yup. These will take a long time if ever to sell out. I just got one for my collection so I am happy with that.

These are just a little bigger than a nickel and not as big as a quarter.
Gold SLQ .866 in. 22 mm
    Nickel .835 in. 21.21 mm
    Quarter .955 in. 24.26 mm

I had 2 computers going together, when 1 would crash I would switch back and forth. probably 30 crashes of the site. I would get sometimes all the way to the place order button,, then Boom, error. After 25 minutes of trying I got 1

Wow! Not as big as a quarter? I wouldn't have bought one if I knew that.

So they let you purchase more than one?

No. You can use the same computer but the shipping address has to be different. I used different credit cards also.

What he said. "One per household." Does not say one per person. Just ship to a different household. I tried something different this time though... I tried shipping multiple orders directly to the guy buying them from me. Not sure if they will go through or not.

5:15 pm and they are still for sale at the US Mint - I think coin dealers are gonna have these laying around for quite awhile! They still have the gold dimes for sale.

Agreed. The big sellers likely rolled back their order numbers because of that
