Hello, Sorry for the last post that will not happen again. I have 3 new coins, the first two I can not find exactly the type, help is much appreciated. 1) Trajan from where? 2) Gordian III, from? also Ladicea? neocaesarea? or? 3) is: SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Laodicea ad Mare. Marcus Aurelius & Lucius Verus. AD 161-169. Æ (23mm, 8.63 g, 12h). Laureate head of Lucius right / Laureate head of Marcus right.
First coin, found in CNG's archives simply by typing the search terms "Trajan, AE, eagle, standards": http://www.cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=94267 CILICIA, Nicinia-Claudiopolis. Trajan. AD 98-117. Æ 25mm (9.98 g). Laureate head right / COL IVL AVG FELI NINIC CLA[VD], eagle standing left, head right, between two standards. SNG Levante -; SNG von Aulock 5766 (same dies). VF, green and black patina.
The second coin is Gordian III, as you already identified. In addition to the distinctive portrait, the obverse spells his name. AVTOKKMANTΓOPΔIANOCCEB The reverse legend seems to match GIII's tetradrachms of Antioch in Syria, ΔHM[APXE]ΣOVCIAC, with the chi sometimes engraved more like a sigma (as seen on your coin).
I don't follow these coins and so don't know if they were also issued in bronze, but some of the examples I see online show very debased silver. Maybe yours is very debased silver tetradrachm.
