    Zinc rot, if there's any nick or hole in the copper plating then the zinc will eventually start rotting away. Especially if it was in a cup holder in a car for a while.

    PS that's one reason I hate Zincolns

    I agree with zinc rot on the cent.

    Roughly when were these charge tokens in use?
