Unless I can add to the Peace and the Buffalo sets. I am a sucker sometimes for a smooth early die stage coin. Do you think this one musters the grade? Opinions please. Grades first opinions after the reveal.
Uneven toning, striation lines, tells me it has been cleaned. The many scratches on the face, neck, and forehead are minor distractions, rim dings on the reverse. Luster on the high points is fair. Overall, a nice coin. All Morgans are worthy in my opinion. MS-64.
There are some planchet striations that are seen under magnification in the fields and can also be seen under the frost on the cheek. The rest is light die polishing and slab scratches.
Here is the grade. Nothing seen in the photos are present when rotating this coin in hand except the light contact under the eye. It has very good eye appeal for a blast white Morgan. The reverse shows a of a PL but that is common on the S mint Morgans. It isn't my ideal Morgan I like a little toning at least around the perimeter. But for the price it was a no brainer.
