Welcome to my 70,000 posts celebration. I may have posted this before but it is one of my favorite coins. It’s a Kentucky TOKEN which was only struck from 1792 to 1794. It has really gained in popularity the last few years. There are 15 stars forming a triangle and each state has its initial on the star. It is called a Kentucky Token because the top star is a K which represents Kentucky. There are a number of varieties in the short life of this coin and this is the plain edge variety. The reverse side has a scroll that reads OUR CAUSE IS JUST. UNANIMITY IS THE STRENGTH OF SOCIETY is circling the edge. The side with the stars forming a triangle have E PLURIBUS UNUM around the edge. It’s my favorite Post-Colonial issues.
Great looking token, especially for its age. Congrads on the posting, truly a valued member and friend of many here.
