Interesting counterfeits my father got in change...

On the live-broadcast season finale of the "Gold Rush" TV show a couple years ago, my friend Dave Emslie was on the show melting gold and pouring small bars in the background. And at one point (on-air) the show's producer and Dave discussed and demonstrated the process.

Some of the gold that I have used to mint Clark Gruber gold pieces came from Freddy Dodge (one of the miners and the main expert on that show).

I made some "Gold Rush" sample medals for Dave to show the producer and the miners. Those sample medals featured John & Parker Schnabel (two of the stars on the show). But nothing ever came of it.

I posted a pic of a, shall we say, "creatively" altered large cent. It got modded-out to oblivion. Oh well.
