This was less than $50...($45, I believe)...including the stupid old matte proof nickel and an unlucky $2 bill:

This was $.75 at a flea market:

And this (for the full proof set) was $15:

And this was $1 at a flea market:

Nice score. Every time I come across one of these they want way more than $50. :)

The dollar, or the nickel, or the set? Yeah, I got lucky on this one, but I think it's because I bought like 3 of the 1994 sets and 4 of the 1997 sets at once, so he gave me a price break to get rid of them.

And (last one today) this was $.07 (found at the bottom of a bag of bulk foreign coins in a gold bezel to boot:

One of my favorites-$30 IMAG1614_1.jpg $20 might seem like meh for this- until you realize it's 1.75 oz .999 silver and extremely rare and super collectible IMAG2573_1.jpg

Maybe it's not fair to go with Lincolns, because a lot are inexpensive, but I still like having the issue from the first part of the first year for $49, like it was yesterday.

Ah...the 1901 reminded me of this "shifty eagled" one I got at a flea market for around $30:

You know, I suppose my purchase of the Cherrypicker's Guide should probably get a mention here as one of my most valuable purchases ever....and they were $50 for the pair...

And when I took it to the silver dollar show in St. Charles, MO...to see if I could sell/trade it for something...EVERY dealer acted like it was coated in doo-doo.

Because it was in an NGC slab!
