This was less than $50...($45, I believe)...including the stupid old matte proof nickel and an unlucky $2 bill: This was $.75 at a flea market: And this (for the full proof set) was $15: And this was $1 at a flea market:
The dollar, or the nickel, or the set? Yeah, I got lucky on this one, but I think it's because I bought like 3 of the 1994 sets and 4 of the 1997 sets at once, so he gave me a price break to get rid of them. One of my favorites-$30 $20 might seem like meh for this- until you realize it's 1.75 oz .999 silver and extremely rare and super collectible
Maybe it's not fair to go with Lincolns, because a lot are inexpensive, but I still like having the issue from the first part of the first year for $49, like it was yesterday.
2pcs - 80% silver Canadian dollars, a 1953 series Red Seal 2$ in almost crisp condition - 48$ total cost!
Awesome coins!!!! Who say's you have to spend thousands on great coins.. These are the stuff that will get handed down to our kids. Keep them coming, this is fantastic stuff..
You know, I suppose my purchase of the Cherrypicker's Guide should probably get a mention here as one of my most valuable purchases ever....and they were $50 for the pair...
And when I took it to the silver dollar show in St. Charles, MO...to see if I could sell/trade it for something...EVERY dealer acted like it was coated in doo-doo. Because it was in an NGC slab!
