    Hello All,

This dime seems like two reverse sides of the Roosevelt Dime clashing into each other. There is an "E" that is minted back words. Is this PMD or an error?

FYI: I am not claiming it is an error. I am just asking for professional help. Thank you for looking.

What you think might be a backwards "E" is actually the "M" of UNUM. Could it be a Capped Die? I'm not that familiar with them.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Struck with a capped die or seriously grease filled die.

Thinking grease filled. The circled is the M in "unum"

This one actually looks like a legitimate error. Possibly a capped die but more likely through grease. I hope it is and not a PMD coin because that would be nice.

If it were a grease-filled die, you would think the edges of the leaves would have disappeared. I'm still leaning toward a capped die.

Any thoughts on why Roosevelt's face looks unusually flat? I'm not familiar with capped dies (never even held one) so I don't know if it affects the opposite side of the coin.

The Obverse seems to be a Misaligned Die Strike
The Reverse.. Fascinating! :wideyed: (not a capped Die)
    I'm saying Struck Through Strike...
@Write2bfree looks like you have a good one!
