Divus Augustus, died AD 14. AE As circa 22/23-30 AD, Rome (31mm, 11.28g). Struck under Tiberius. DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER. Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left // S - C / PROVIDENT. Square altar with two doors and two horns on top. BMC 146; Cohen 228; RIC 81. VF with a scuff on the forehead.

Happy to pick up this coin at a reasonable price. First time I have purchased a coin off Facebook... I avoided that for a long time.. but the seller was well recommended and the transaction went very smoothly.
Nice large coin at 30mm, with a great patina and detail. A massive upgrade to my previous coin of the great man.

Thanks for looking... Please feel free to post any coins featuring Augustus.

Was almost closing time and only got to see it through the gift shop.

Need an example like those wonderful examples above.
