Woohoo! I just realized my '85-CC GSA Morgan has a VAM (3)! Not that it makes much of a difference value-wise, but still cool that I just discovered it. Hooray for me, I suppose? It's the small things in life that make things interesting sometimes. Right? Edit to add: Crap!! Sorry for posting them as thumbnails
As it so happens, I was just taking another quick look at some more from my Morgan albums, and I'm almost confident in that I've found one of the "WOW" VAMs. Unfortunately it's on one of my most beat-up specimens, my 1895-O (VAM-3A). It's incredibly difficult to say with certainty because of all the wear it has, but I'm definitely leaning towards it having the VAM vs it not. I'll post some pictures in a little bit just to get some eyes on it, but I'll make a point of it to get some better quality pictures this weekend, hopefully with some new techniques!
These don't exactly dispell all doubts, but they're the best I can do (today) with an extremely low-grade coin. When I got it, I figured any key is better than no key! Sorry for the mostly terrible pictures! Anyways, let me know what you think. Am i just imagining this?
