If you send some stuff in on economy do you still get the scratch resistant holders? I noticed the note goes away as you go down the list from the more expensive options. Do they only have one type of standard holder? All edge view, all scratch/UV resistant now?
If I remember correctly, the scratch-resistant holders are an upgrade ($5/coin) for economy submissions. Here is a screenshot from their website, taken just now:
Of course the "real world" answer is "scratched by what, exactly?" No, seriously, economy normally does not come with the so-called scratch resistant holder, it is a $5 bump. Higher tiers have it included at no extra charge. I have some of each, and I find it hard to feel any difference, personally, but then again, I do suffer from some neurological deficits.
As mentioned, you don't get it with economy unless you pay an extra $5 per coin. I agree there isn't much difference between ones with the coating and ones without, but you can tell. My advice, just go with the regular slabs and don't scratch them.
Yup. Pretty much if you need to carry around an NGC slab in the "regular" holder, don't carry it in the pocket with your loose change or your keys. Treat it with some respect and you'll be fine.
