Buffalos have always been a tricky coin to grade. And I have a soft spot for 38D's in a rattler or no line fatty. These two are the same grade and Generation slab. What do you grade them? Coin 1 Buff 2 If you want to pass down any info as to why they are so subjective, please do. I think I may finish my 38D OMM RPM and neat die stage collection. I have quite a few still left from the first go round. Sold quite a few in hard times. I think I want to focus on this grade. And era of slabs.
Almost looks like a MS66 but just a tad lower. I've got it at MS65. Here is my MS66 for comparison. (I hope that I'm correct).
MS 65 ....that seems to be the typical rattler grade (although 64s and 66s are out there as well in quantity).
I know it makes it fun to do some Cherrypicking, most sadly have already been reholdered, or are in collections that I want to happen across.
Oh wow. That's a 67 if there ever was one. But they won't give it that because of the wasted dies. I actually like it more for that. Stunning coin you got there, champ.
Very nice, both of them! The first is struck a little weak or roached dies, but overall clean. I'd give it a 66. The second is a blazer and is very well struck. 67 all the way!
Here are the grades. Quite a few got it right. And those that were too high it is understandable in todays market. Buff 1 Buff 2 no one asked for better photos of the mm. This one is an rpm-002 D/D West.
