    Welcome to the forum millennium.
Actually the coin is copper-nickle, not silver. That's the same metal used for U.S. nickles, and in the clad outer layers of higher denomination U.S. coins.

It's listed in Krause as KM#31, and it's real claim to fame is that it was the last Eire (Irish Republic) coin minted before Ireland's adoption of the Euro. The Irish harp appeared on all coins of the Irish Free State and the Republic since its separation from Great Britain almost 90 years ago, and still appears on the country-specific side of Irish Euro coinage.

Assuming that "perfect condition" equates to an uncirculated coin, Krause values it at $7.50. No mintage is specified, and lower-grade coins are not assigned values.

    eire £1 2000 millennium coin

:rolleyes:If we're all talking about the same coin, it is in fact silver, 20grams to be exact.
On one side it shows the Irish harp with the word "EIRE" and "2000" -
and on the other side it shows a boat with seven oars and a mast which looks like a crucifix
and the word "MILLENNIUM" with the denomination "£1".
:foot-mouth: Here is the web site I found this information at:

As for the value, no one can give you a worthy answer without looking at it.
For me the value is whatever the current silver scrap price is.
This coin is roughly a little less than 3/4ounce of "925" silver.:thumb:
