I received in the mail today a letter from the US Mint.
They admitted to an ultra rare error.
Yes, apparently my order from the Subscription for 2023 Silver Mint sets
    contained an error.

Thus, they sent me a replacement box, that has been corrected
.. corrected for what .. I don't know I couldn't get to reading the entire letter nor compare the boxes.

But .. what they hay !!

The US Mint sent me an undisturbed, unopened, new MINT boxed .. umm .. boxes for my 2023 Silver Mint sets.

    Go figure ....

Should I get this MINT box PCGS authenticated/slabbed ?

    .. this is just silly .... :p;):yawn::yack::wideyed:o_O:oops::rolleyes::cigar:

I have no idea. I mentioned that I haven't compared one of the old boxes to a new box. I'll check sooner or later .. maybe ...

How does the box error add value to the coin? I say. NO. wink.png

the original box had 2022 on it.

Masterswimmer was also correct about the picture change, if you look on the end of the original box it has copyright 2022, the replacement has 2023.

It will blow over. But save both. I wouldn’t even open it. Changed my mind sell it. There’s crazy’s out there

Hey, wait for it to catch on. I'm sure PCGS will slab just the boxes (and not the coins). lol

Once in a while strange things happen such as when I was buying those Congratulation sets years ago until 2017 exploded (but that was due to the coin).

Wait for about 10 years, some auditor will find the error. Walla, you will get a bill with 10 years of taxes included, isn't that great. Just kidding or am I, only the shadow knows!

I received an updated COA (from the mint) for the Bristle Cone 2023 silver medal because the one I got with the medal indicated it as a coin. Some yody ho yahoo is trying to sell an original on ebay........

I don't see any admission on the Mint's part to an "ultra rare error".

I comically extrapolated that "ultra rare" rather than "ultra comical" ...

You can still buy the 2023 Silver Proofs from the mint?

I could be wrong, but aren't they grading old coin bags now? Maybe slab the error box? :D
