This is an 1800 Large Cent., 80/79 Style 2 Hair. I havent seen that many so I thought this would make a good addition to the LC collection.

How about some grades here? I know that it has corrosion on it. But think of how YOU will look in 200 years! : )

    Just thought I would share.

I grade it as RN (really nice). Better than the one that I have.

Very interesting piece, I'd give it a F-10. Thanks for sharing. :)

I see that me and Ben think a lot alike as I give it an F-12! Due to exceptional details on the Obverse under all that corrosion or whatever it is, I believe that the coin is a good candidate for a trip to NCS. I may be wrong but believe that if they can remove some of that gunk and thus restore some of the exceptional details, then the coin might get a VF-20 when they send it over to NGC. If so, then the value would be significantly bumped up on the coin!

Not sure on the grade, but a neat coin nontheless. Still lots of nice detail to enjoy.

At first glance I would say VF details. I think your pictures shows the underneath detail. Nice coin!

Don't know anything about grading early cents but looks really nice.
