Just to make it easy and not have my wife ask "what are cent rolls?" I asked her to grab me 10 "Penny" rolls when she went to the bank this morning. And I'll be damn, she brought home: 10 PENNY rolls just like I asked - LOL!! They are printed with the banks name on them so hopefully they are customer wrapped rolls with minimal shield cents. I'll post my findings later as I'm sure "9ball" Chris will want to see some die cracks!!
That's a good woman you got there. Next time ask her to bring home a roll or two of silver dollars, lol.
That looks like a great start! Why do I envision a bunch of wheat cents in those (what look to be old) wrappers?!?!
I'm guessing that since he has a small stack of unused, empty wrappers in the pic, they aren't all wheats. One could hope, though.
3 rolls so far - 1 die crack, nothing else, not even an S mint. But - no shield cents. I'm getting the feeling I'm looking through rolls that somebody already dumped.
I just decided that I'm going to start writing on the wrapper - UNSEARCHED - just so I can give others a thrill..........momentarily. Chris
The last 5 rolls produced a 1964 Canadian cent, actually got a 46-D wheat cent, 3 more reverse die cracks, and one die chip.
Oh, forgot - also a super clean and shiny Lincoln sitting on a log reading cent - can't remember at the moment what the real name of it is. But this almost looks proofy - no marks, finger prints, or water spots just absolutely looks like a mirror .
