They are all uploaded (at least the 35 best coins) so take a look and see which one you want and PM me to reserve it. I'll be out of town a few days and will check in when I get back...

I took some images of one of the 41-D coins I kept with a new lens and lighting system. In one image, I took the shot straight-on with fairly direct but no-reflective lighting. The other, I inclined the coin 5-deg using a goniometer, and the camera 5-deg using a tilt adapter. Here is an animation going from the straight-on shot to the tilted shot and back. The straight-on shot is less diffuse than my original shots, which had a lot of diffusion. The tilted shot it "pseudo-axial", ie the lights shine directly off the coin surface and toward the lens.

    Comments welcome!

I also added a few more 41-D's to the website, imaged using the new equipment. Take a look!

Your skills with a camera are simply unbelievable. I think you might be the best in the business my friend!

Many of the 41-D Toned Cents have come back with grades. A few were deemed AT and got Questionable Color, and their owners are going to re-submit, but several others came back MS66RB, MS66+RB, and MS67RB. I have uploaded the grades for the coins I know about to my website. If you purchased one of these from me, and sent it in for grading, would you please reply to this thread or PM me with the assigned grade(s)? It's good for everyone to have grades and photos to compare...Ray

Ray, did you keep the wrapper? I'd love to see it.

No, the roll was tubed when I bought it. The seller told me he transferred it from the paper bank wrapper to the tube many years ago. It was common practice (may still be) for people to remove coins from the paper wrappers and put them in tubes to "protect" them from this sort of toning. Luckily, I guess it was too late for this roll!

How about labeling the ones that got bagged? I find it hard to believe any of these wouldn't slab!

The only one remotely QC is 27, the others make no sense to me.

Lol. Just your hard luck no one thought of "protecting" these until it was too late. :)

I know this is an old thread, but I was unable to contact @rmpsrpms . Mine finally graded 66+. Not sure what held it back from 67..

Excellent MonsterCoinz! This was coin 1-2, the first coin I posted. It should have gone MS67 but MS66+ is pretty good. I will update the web page with the new info. Thanks!
