"And then he cleans the coin after he's done!" Take a deep breath!

So take a deep breath, this may be disturbing for some!

At our coin club last night - there was a brief talk from a couple artists that one of our members brought in as guests. Both are engravers, and they do coin/token art work among other things, but this has become more of their specialty.

"And then he cleans them when he's done" so they look nice.

It really is neat artwork and quality is supurb, but I told him - half kidding - that he was never allowed at my house. :)

He did state that he would never destroy a rare date coin, and the more worn - the better usually - but still...

    Enjoy! (or cringe!)

Those look pretty good and at least they're conscious of not destroying coins with numismatic value.

Those are pretty nice and after the work is done and the coin has no numismatic value left in it who cares if they clean them?

Love them. The coins were worth melt to begin with, why not make them into works of art?

Since he has demolished the coins to make jewelry out of them, who cares? Nice pieces, though.

That Merc in the center of your top photo is stunning! All are superb, but that one really stands out.

Love the work but please get him to stick with common dates. I wouldn't mind having a couple of those. :)

Seriously, I think my wife might like one of those. Do they sell them on line?

the merc looks amazing! What if they did the same thing for a coin to be the base of a watch?

I as well would like to know where I can purchase a Merc like that. Although I hate seeing that stuff done its bullion in my view.

How bout them etching coins as the customers provide and/or request? I'd love to have date coins of my cat and dog from the year they died, engraved so I could have mementos!
