A pity that it looses all the history behind it so suddenly. Certainly restrike 1950s-70s.

But why you have marked this as a Calcutta Mint coin? It's a restrike issue from Bombay mint in early 1970’s

i didn tmark it the guy who sold me did. i keep my coins in pcgs slabs all graded just havent had a chance to send it in

 

That's a nice collection.It is a pity that the 1/2 Rupee is a Bombay Mint Proof restrike from the 1960's.The restriking of old coins by the Indian mints was banned in 1970.

it is a calcutta mint coin i checked. Krause 449.2.
