The reverse reminds me a little of Iovis, everyone's favorite God.

Vespasian Iovis.jpg Gordian III Antonianus IOVI CONSERVATORI.jpg

He is usually depicted with stretched out arms like in your coin and mine, and holding a scepter on his left hand (yours appears to have a similar position as if he is holding something on his left hand (See my Gordian III above). Although with wear (to the die and/or coin) and if the strike wasn't that good to begin with, the scepter may not survive at all. It barely does on my Gordian III due to the reverse die starting to get long in the tooth. You can see the heavy flow marks on the lettering as another indication of that.

Another possibility is that it could be some sort of depiction of Sol, but in what little remains of your coin I see no evidence of a radiate crown or orb in his right hand.

PS: For all of you Sol worshipers, Iovis is way cooler than Sol ;)

  12. My first impression is a provincial Nero. As far as an attribution, good luck.

Ken Dorney Yea, I'm Cool That Way...

The portrait reminds me of Vitellius (or some other 'robust' guy). Not familiar with it, especially with the thickness of the flan.
