I received my MS67FB dime from HEritage today and the slab is seriously beat up and scratched. I'm searching the PCGS site for a reslabbing fee and found nothing. In fact, PCGS seems to make doing business with them such a PIA I'm suprised they stay in business. But I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get it reslabbed and if anyone can help me facilitate this process. Ruben
I don't know what the plastic costs. some plastic cost a lot. Mylar-D products are not cheap. Either way, this slab has been abused and I need to change it. Ruben
$5 for reholder. Here's the link... http://www.pcgs.com/grading_list.chtml Personally, I've had good luck with PCGS. Excellent customer service, prompt replies. That said, the grading itself is a little slower than NGC or ANACS.
Yep. Plus there's the issue of insured postage there and back...much more than $5. Check your local dealer. Maybe you can piggyback a shipment they're sending in, and keep your costs low. If you caught PCGS at a show, you could submit without paying postage... and if you're really lucky, they might reslab before the show ends.
you said you got the coin from heritage. was there a photo of the coin on their site when you made the purchase? if so maybe you have a beef with them instead?
Ruben, Why don't you break the coin out of the slab, and get it re-graded, if you're going through all that trouble? If you send it to NGC, they might give the coin a better grade. Better yet, send it to SGS. You will be guaranteed an MS-70 DMPL. Ask Aiden to submit the coin to SGS....he absolutely LOVES that grading service, and I'm sure that he has an "IN" with the management of that TPG. swick
Swick: what are you trying to do? Oh, no!!!!!!!!! I'm not signing on for a couple of days now!!!!!!!! (Aiden, forgive him, he knows not what he does!!) Swick: Have you been eating those 'shrooms again?
[Swick: Have you been eating those 'shrooms again?[/QUOTE] YEP YEP YEP YEP YEP.......BURP!! LOL I hope that Aidan knows that I was joking??? swick P.S. I got the " 'shrooms" out where I got all the "Binion" Morgan Dollars that I have. swick
