Best wine varieties for viewing coins?

I find that viewing coins goes better with a good glass of wine. Maybe it's just color-matching, but I find a full-bodied syrah or zinfandel goes great with copper or gold coins. But an oaky chardonnay goes really well with silver coins. What's your preference?

I don't drink at all when bidding or buying though. ;)

I saw Charmy's latest report from Anaheim and saw her wine preferences, which are great.

My go to is pretty much any Bordeaux from the Saint-Émilion region.

I must agree a nice old vine zin or syrah goes good with just about anything in my book. But if you really want to go old school a Port and a fine cigar while sitting in a worn leather chair with your loop in hand is about as good as it gets. Now for Asian coinage I prefer a nice plum wine. Canadian coinage is where a Ice Wine is the only thing you can pare with.
European countries I like a Rhine wine, or a sweet Rose.
Australian of course any Yellow Tail. For California Gold coins I like 7 deadly zins...... have I forgotten any one?
Well my apologies as all I got left in the rack is $2 Buck Chuck.:wideyed: Cheers

Remember "Sanford And Son"...champagne and Ripple makes Champipple, the national wine of Watts!
