Please I have had several of these for a couple years and have never been able to find another anywhere. Not sure of metal gold or brass color and 1 5/8 inches across Looked everywhere online on anywhere... Any info would greatly be appreciated.
Nice, no idea right now, but I'm sure someone will know lots about this. The weight would help to decide what metal it is.
I don't think that Coin or token was minted in Russia. I don't think they would use English lettering on their coins. Maybe some kind of collectors series coin from a set of coins?
In 1998 at the Brooklyn Museum, there was an exhibit called - Jewels of the Romanovs: Treasures of the Russian Imperial Court Maybe they gave this coin as a gift to the visitors of the exhibit? I want to share this webpage with you - https://www.brooklynmuseum.org/opencollection/exhibitions/745
IMHO this is a promotional token for a traveling exhibit on the Romanovs, known as as "The jewels of Romanovs". Unrelated to russian commemorative coins, obviously not even a coin. Most likely not minted in Russia, metal might be brass.
thank you was wondering if they were ever given out at all have never seen another and I have 9 of them.
There is a very good chance they were given out to visitors as a souvenir. Try to sell one of yours on eBay, you`ll know the price (which will be under $3, if sold, in my opinion).
