What is the proper term for this one?

    What was it that made you think it was a "struck through"? Was it the mark between the two planes?

    The image 115 jpeg at the top shows a line through the G and one through AIRM. Just asking what that is called. Maybe nothing. I did look at some strike throughs, but not sure what this is.

    Looks like it took a hit. I believe it is PMD (post mint damage). Just my opinion from the photos.

    I thought so too, but the Letters it goes through are intact and unaffected. So a "hit" wouldn't just affect the area between the letters and miss the letters right?

    If the letters are incuse the hit would not affect them.

    They are raised not incuse. So not sure on this one.

    The letters are not raised but they are on a raised field and they are cut into the field. Chances are it was a defect on the planchet before striking.

    I think that it was a die scratch or gouge. That would affect the field but not the design and there would be many more just like it in circulation, unless they removed and replaced/polished the die..
