Here is a Celtic Drachm I got awhile ago, mainly for, what I assume is a die crack at 1 o'clock?

Looks like a spear shaft in the head.

I find drawn to these Celtic coins. I'm not so sure that is a die crack. Perhaps some crud in the die maybe. I mean, what the heck do I know? Here is my sole Celtic example:

Ouch, it must hurt having a spear through your head for 2,200 years. :D

Awesome coin @Mat . I love it! You've been getting some pretty cool stuff lately.

And even though this is disputed as money, it is more likely a Horse Bridle Ring...I still think it was of value to the Celts!

It was a little more harder and a little more dinero to get a decently centered version to include most of the devices. But the rich history surrounding this coin as well as the implication of Queen Boudicca being the inspiration for Britannica... just made it a "had to have" historical marker!

Met a serious collector at one of my recent Shows that had over 600 Celtics. It looks to be an interesting focus that I may pursue in future years. I have always enjoyed the rich history of the Celts as they migrated and settled across Europe...

    Great coins, Steve.

I like the designs of many of them & would love to add a few more as life goes on. Couldn't do a side collection as I have so many other side interests, don't need another.:stop:
