Thank you for the welcome and info I was going to post more but unfortunately ran over my cell and my tablet is no good with photos and my kids got ahold of the pennies lol omg what a week. But I will use my husbands phone for other coins if you'd be willing to look at them with me Im still learning but have become quickly obsessed with penny searching
Yes I think your right by the way looking at other pennies pre 92 seems to have a closer wide am but still a wide confusion Is i heard close am is touching or ALMOST touching but I'm beginning to think its always touching if its close
If I may, TJ.... "69 wide AM"? I don't believe I've ever heard of this before; could you please explain?
Haha... thank you. I tried to come up with something before I asked, and 96 didn't even dawn on me; one of those days I suppose... Speaking of the 96, isn't it essentially an unconfirmed rumor? I forget the guy's name, but do recall reading that he claimed to have found on but somehow lost or misplaced it, so all there is (was?) is his word. Any truth to this or....?
Thanks, TJ. Google, being my friend and all, was kind enough to help me locate this (below). It confirms the gist of what I remembered and I thought it may interest you. Personally, and no offense to the gentleman, I cannot help but to question the story and the coin's existence, at least from what little I know. It just strikes me as being awfully convenient, and with (to the best of my knowledge) no other examples having been found, well, you get the idea.
