I don't know, never tried it, but when I see the alignment of fields on that blue form, it looks like big mess to me. Many of these apps are made by hobbyists that don't follow basic design rules. No wonder simple spreadsheet is easier to use.
Excel gets my vote. Easy to DIY with as much detail as you desire. If you belong to a coin club, you may want to ask your fellow members for templates they have constructed and use. No need to reinvent the wheel.
Honestly I'm not too concerned with images. I tried that before. Unless you have the right equipment & experience it's not worth taking pictures. Just my opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I guess people have different expectations and Excel might be good for many - usually people already have it for work, so it means no additional cost. I use Open Office Calc which also support Excel format and it is free. I agree that simple list with few details about coin and purchase is better than clumsy software full of bugs. However, I was always wondering why Excel don't have better support for images, why you can't simply paste image into cell. It is important to have options because sometimes you might need it and with Excel, you simply don't have that option. There could be simple solution though - if the tracking tool supports Export/Import from and to Excel, you could create inventory in Excel, import, add pictures if you want, do some advanced stuff, updates, reports, whatever and then export again, make changes etc... Regarding images, I am quite happy with pictures made by ordinary scanner. I have also good camera, with copy stand, macro lenses and macro flash and I can do really good pictures with it, but using scanner is much faster and result is not too bad. If you look at sites like colnect or similar, people make worse pictures and they are happy with it
