    I would like to know something more about the coin below. I suppose that it is from Greek colony in Spain Emporion (Emporiai). Weight ca 28 gram, diameter ca 40 mm.

    The Antiquanova silver is 38.5g. and has their S mark between the rear feet of pegasus. I do not have one. I don't consider it one of their better replicas in terms of style but none are any good if you are familiar with the real ones.

    Antiquanova makes lots and lots of replica coins for museumshops, souvenirshops and collectors, these are bound to make problems in the future amongst coin collectors.Some are obvious replicas / fakes, others are made better then the original ones imho.

    this decadrachme is nicely made, the Dolphins are high on the planchet and so is Arethusa's hair.

    Bought a lot of 30 mainly Antiquanova coins for $3 a piece for my black cabinet,
    wonder how many are already in coin collections without the owner knowing he has added fake coins.
