Thanks all. She really is a great coin. Hope the next owner in 20-30 years I give it to will be happy!
Unfortunately, I'd know that my money would have been better spent elsewhere. Nothing I'd ever buy unless money was no object.
When I was at the big New Orleans based firm, I assembled a complete set of Stella's including the aluminum die trial pieces for a lady investor. That was a really cool and rare set, but the lady never cared enough to even see the coins and they say in our vault for several years. I'm not sure what happened to that collection since I left there, but it was sweet anyway. That's a lovely piece you have there Traz.
This was about fifteen years ago, so if she is still the owner, she's made a wise investment. It's sort of a shame that these coins have been largely reduced to investment pieces and collectors seldom get to place them into their collections. Let's face it, if it weren't for the high investors, they wouldn't be priced anywhere near whT they are today.
Curious, where and when did you HOLD a $100,000 note. A sheet of these is often on display. Was the note you held from another country? Question. When members post a photo like the OP with a PCGS Certificate, where is the assigned grade? Do I need to go to PCGA and pull up the #?
Yes you need to go check the cert page for the grade or someone post it. Would be nice if they put that on the photo somewhere
Lol true, adding it as one of the options would be a nice addition to the trueview page with all the different sizes though in my opinion then let people pick if they want to use it or not.
