@blu62vette helped with the pics on the last 3 coins, and the gold CAC Washington 25c came from @illini420 , a coin he had consigned for a customer. Didn't buy as much as I had hoped, but I'm still pretty happy. Had a great time hanging out with @Cascade and meeting a bunch of other CT folks like @messydesk, @calcol, and several others!
Nice pick ups!! I so can't wait for the ANA to come back to Portland. It won't be for another 4 or 5 years though...
Just wait till you see the PCGS 67 I picked up in Anaheim then. Its with @messydesk right now for a .gif photo as the luster is the ultra rare "dish" or "bowl" type and a static photo simply cannot do it justice. @c_b_d can tell you all about it until I get it back & post it.
Glad to have met @C-B-D at the show. Nice stuff you have, there. The 82-S in 67 that @Cascade has is a real "headlight," and a perfect coin for an animated GIF. I should be able to get to it Sunday night. It's funny how the luster characteristics change so much between 1881-S and 1882-S. 81-S typically has bright, "slashing" cartwheels, while many 82-S have "curvy" luster. In 67, they're two pretty ladies that are definitely different from each other.
I told @Cascade that his MS67 looked like a high relief the way that bowl luster surrounded the devices.
Great to see you at the show in Anaheim and looks like you did very well in finding some great coins! Congrats!
