    I don't see any doubling, either. Is it possible that you are confusing the reflection of the lighting with doubling?

    Here is a 1983-P DDR-001 I found roll searching. Notice the true doubling of the letters. Compare them to yours. The 1982 should look like this except not quite as extreme. Image30943.jpg Image30944.jpg Image30945.jpg
