Okay, around last November I came into possession of a rather intriguing coin collection. Including a silver dollar dating back to 1884, 2 bicentennial dollars, 9 buffalo nickels (can't tell the year on any of them), 4 Kennedy half-dollars (3 from 1966 and 1 from 1967), a 1972 silver dollar, a 1963 Ben Franklin half dollar, and 3 wheat pennies from various years (1943, 1946, and 1952). I'm obviously going to get them checked out by a professional, but I just wanted to get a good idea of what they're worth.

    Thanks.

The silver dollar from the 1880s is most valuable. we'd have to see a picture to tell.

the buffalo nickels, and wheaties arent worth anything, except face value.
but then again, we'd have to see a picture of those wheaties as well.

The Franklin Half dollar might be worth something, and the other stuff really not too much.

but again, pictures would help immensely.

There are dealers that pay 6¢ on dateless buffalo nickels and 3¢ on dated wheat pennies. What Magman really means is it's not worth the gas money to try to sell them to a dealer. Better off keeping those, or giving them to a kid to get their coin collection started. Franklin Halve is worth at least melt value which is around $4 right now.

I would agree with your estimate for common wheats being worth about 3 cents each but I'm shocked that you think dateless buffalo nickels are only worth 6 cents. I would think you could get at least a quarter apiece for them on Ebay or if you tried to sell them at a coinshow or fleamarket.

the 1884 silver dollar is worth around $18 if it has a mintmark of plain, or O. if it is CC, its worth around $140. if it has a mintmark of S, its worth around $20. the mintmark is on the back, next to the eagle. the bicentinal dollars are only worth a couple dollars each. the 1966 half dollars are worth around $2, and the 1967 half dollar is worth $2 each too. the ben franklin half is worth around $4.75. the wheat cents have a value of just a nickel each, but the 1943 is steel and worth around a quarter. the dateless buffalo nickels are worth around 50 cents each.
