My 10 sets of presidential proofs just showed up today. They look pretty good except for a few with scratches or small dents on the forehead of James Madison. A couple of the sets have the marks in the same place right in the center of his forehead. Anyone else get theirs yet? How do they look?
I don't know Moen, to me the premium is so high that any imperfection is not acceptable. I have taken a zero tolerance policy with bad coins from the mint. I would return the bad ones if I were you.
Pictures of the entire set. These are really beautiful sets. Even the box is really nice. The holder is also very nice, but you can't see the edge lettering very well. These coins are fairly dull in business strike, but very beautiful in proof.
I was a bit disappointed with the packaging... I had hoped the Mint would find a way to make it very easy to see the edge lettering... Other than that the coins look great... Two of my boxes (I ordered 3) got a little beat up during shipping... so that too is a bit disappointing.
I agree. I wasn't going to order this set, but after seeing those pics, I've changed my mind. They actually look quite good.
They look better than the business strikes, but they still look more like some kind of token than a coin.
which one is better? prez proof set $14.95 amercian eagle (w) unc silver dollar $21.95 which one is better?. any suggestion?. i am trying to buy 100. but i don't know which one should i invest.
:secret: did anyone notice that the plastic case opens up and you can remove them in side another plastic cover?
I got mine today in the mail. They sure are beautiful. Alot nicer than the business strikes for sure.
these coins are so butt ugly. what 6th grade art teacher designed these? at least the SACAGAWEA had a nice reverse to it.
