Got $150 in 50C pieces yesterday.
What do you think of this one?
    Throw it in an album.
Toss it back to the wild?
Is it AT? Or, is it NT?
This is exactly as it looks in hand. Photos aren't enhanced.

First, it is yours to with as you wish. I'm not into toned coins, but this I would keep. It is not like you have an investment here.

    True on that one.
It's one of the reasons I roll hunt. But with roll hunting you have to be prepared to get toned coins. Some are just Blah. The one above cartwheels when turned in the light.
By the way though, a toned coin is more likely to be original than a bright white coin. Especially silver.

Interesting but it looks like it was stuck between two coins when it toned and I’d say natural toning but it may have had a little help.

I thought the same thing. Some stacking toning.
I am in about 5 rolls and so far have pulled 20 or more to look at under better lighting. Not all toned but a small strike thru and AU or better coins.

Edit hare is a look at the third side of a roll. Mostly red copper clad and mostly pretty sharp.

If you like it keep it, but I don’t think the
tinning is over all attractive however.

I think it's kinda cool - I'd be inclined to throw it in a flip or 2x2 at least, but that's just me.

Set it free! The coin is damaged and not very attractive! There are too many better example waiting to be found!

Not tinned at all. Just toned
Good eye, no matter the explanation for the shield damage reverse. It should be called for what it is.

It will go into the second album. Even though the toning is quite natural and spectacular.
I will try and get a pic in a different light.

I like to keep toned coins I find roll hunting even if I know it's unnatural. Like this one:

    2020-D USA 10 cents (toned).png

I wouldn't pay more than face value for it or try to sell it, I just like the way it looks. If that half dollar was mine I would keep it.

It looks interesting enough to keep. I can even see it selling for $10-$15 on eBay (not that you would net much, but it would still be something above face value).

As far as the toning, it might have happened on its own but I would guess the TPGs would call it stained, environmental damage, or questionable (it isn't worth sending in-that's just my guess if someone theoretically did submit it).

    Cool pocket piece.
Put it in a 2x2 write Roll Hoard on it.
eBay it with a title of Roll Hoard.
Start the bidding out at $0.99 with $8.00 shipping.

Or spray it with WD40 and put it back on the BBQ.

    So odd, I didn't get a notification passed a like from @ddddd
RtE responds today and I see I left some folks hanging last night. Gonna finish the GB game tonight with the kiddos.

I have seen some pretty wild looking coins going thru rolls. Some I keep some I don't.
I am not in this game to sell anything. Just having fun with the hobby. It will go into the album with some of my other toners found hunting.
That won't be too far fetched in 20-30 years if I live that long. LOL
