If it wasn't for these dern kids and their dern graffit, I would have had a nice low-AU (correct me if im wrong) 1876 seated liberty quarter.

    GEEZ!

Don't necessarily blame kids. There are plenty of adults who failed the second grade three times.

I'm just mad that IEB, JCC, and IAB messed up an otherwise $150 coin :bigtears::bigtears::bigtears:

Wonder which of their fathers' collections that coin was swiped from?

1876 seated quarters are known for misplaced dates . That's where they test punched numbers in the denticals .
Have a close look under the 876 between the teeth

Reminds me of my own father, who had a bombin' (or at least, as bombin as a 15 year old kid could afford) silver coin collection back in the 60s. His two sisters really wanted to get some candy at the local five and dime. Maybe you can guess what happened next...

Yea but when it was messed up it probably wasn't worth more than face if not just face. If someone did that in the last decade well it's their money to waste I guess

He was beaten within an inch of his life after he beat his sisters within an inch of theirs.

looks like there's five sets of initials, so it must have been a "menage a cinq"...
Or more likely, maybe it was the equivalent of a notch on the bedpost :angelic:
