First let me say hello to everyone one. I've been a long time unregistered lurker but decided today to register and see if I can get a little help. :)
I have this quarter and I can't tell if it has an error or damage afterwards.

The letters appear to have been spread from the middle out. Especially the L, the leg of it looks like it pushed.
I tried to get a close up of them.
I checked other quarters and none have that much of a defined slope or curl at the end.

Is it from an automatic coin roller?

    Thanks in advance! 2016-8-10 8-48-47.jpg 2016-8-10 8-44-17.jpg 2016-8-10 8-53-48.jpg

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

IMO, it's from a worn die.

Welcome to CT, Always Learning. That's a great name/attitude. I watched from the sidelines, too, for a long time. Keep jumping in. I've written some stupid things, asked some dumb questions, but everything is part of "always learning." Agree about worn die.

    Thank you both very much.
I just moved from pennies to silver coins. I think they are a bit harder for me to distinguish the cause of whatever I'm seeing.
I don't know if the light is to bright and the reflection is what's doing it. Maybe I need a different kind of bulb.

    Any suggestions?
